The pavilion is situated amidst a dense forest and creates a unique spatial experience that connects both sensations of exploring nature and dwelling in it. The multiple layers of bamboo act as an insulation, weathering over time to merge into the natural forest.
The bamboo pavilion is constructed on a large circular column to create spaces on two levels - open space on the ground and elevated habitable space surrounded by tall trees. The bamboo wall is a singular unit that appears to emerge from the ground and flows upwards to form a cocoon-like space within.
