Promoting the essence of community living, the design took shape with accidental interaction spaces like ‘aangans’ at core. These Aangans appeared as these CLT units were stacked and cantilevered, thanks to its shear load transfer nature, this helped to get an element that blurred the lines between public and private. With such liminal spaces, units were placed in such a sectional language that it overlooked these front yards (aangans) in the north and created a pattern of overhangs at the south overlooking a shaded landscaped area.

How does the idea of a "space within the trees" in architecture capture the essence of childhood, independence, and adventurous spirit?

We all dreamt about it, designed it and longed for it. The luckiest ones owned one. In fact, a space within the trees is maybe one of the first and most shared archetypes of architecture. It is the shelter of childhood. It is the safe place. It is the stronghold where one feels independent and keep the adult world at a distance. It is an inaccessible place suspended between sky and trees. It is the scenery and projection of extremely exciting adventures. This intervention symbolizes these adventures.
